Principle

 Prevent 'Sha' (malignant) energy from the house by using Qi Lin 

      Mr. Liu, a friend of Mr. Zhang, invited the author to have a Feng Shui check for his house.

When coming to the site, the author got out compass to take the readings. It was noted the main door was in the north of the house. With this finding, the author formed the judgment and told Mr. Liu, 'your family members are liable to sickness or injuries this year. If you have a son, he might be in trouble with these problems.'
Is that you get to know from Feng Shui?' Mr. Liu doubted. 

'Oh, sure, is there anyone else told me of that besides the inference by the Feng Shui principles?'

Mr. Liu was amazed but still a bit sceptical, 'My son sprained his ankle at the beginning of the year, he could not even go to school for most of the month. So much the worse, not long after that he often coughed oddly. We sent him to take medical check as the doctor prescribed to find out if there was problem with his lung. As the result, however, there is nothing wrong with his lung. But he did have bad coughs for the whole month. Do you really perceive it from Feng Shui?'

The author then advised Mr. Liu the cures solution which is quite easy to do. It should have been proposed to put a folding screen at the doorway to alter the flowing route of Qi (energy). However, the entrance area was not spacious enough to place the screen. Then he was suggested to place a Feng Shui enhancer there.

Over a half year, his son was free from serious disease or accident, only having a cold for one time and getting over in a couple of days.
